Flight Instruction
Visalia Flyers is first and foremost, a flight school. In fact, if an airplane is needed for a checkride, that will take precedence over any other needs. If you are interested in receiving instruction, we recommend you see our Flight Instruction page for more details and answers to frequently asked questions.
As part of your instruction, we can and often do venture out to see many of the beautiful sights our state has to offer. Check out the video below for some of the places we have been with students.
Airplane Rentals
Already a pilot? After you receive a checkout from one of our instructors, you'll be able to rent from our fleet of 172's anytime you like.
Scenic Flights
We also offer scenic flights in the local area. You don't have to be a student if you just want to go for a ride (within 25 miles of the airport). We do not provide any charter services (where we fly you from point A to point B).
Assistance With Your Own Airplane
If you own your own airplane or are planning to buy one our pilots can help ferry the airplane from one place to another and provide you with training in your plane.
Flight Reviews
If you are already a pilot, we can work with you to maintain your currency. Whether you need a Biennial Flight Review (BFR), an Instrument Proficiency Check (IPC), or would like to earn credit for the FAA Wings program... we can help!
Rates
Our instructors generally charge $60 an hour, whether that be for instruction or scenic flights. The hourly cost for the planes are listed on our Aircraft page (that cost does include fuel in what is known as a "wet" rate).
